No, I read it as YOU were offended. I merely offered the observation that
I was not.

To be honest, I haven't given much thought to "who I think you are". At
least consciously, I've been trying to focus on the arguments you offer.

As far as my feeling "powerless", on the contrary, the privilidge of
seriously discussing these issues with thoughtful people feels empowering.
I don't often have my views on these issues seriously considered in most
of my social interactions, as they have been here.
