Tony,
>anti-communism [is] supportive of imperialist war
Why do you feel the need to match the feeble-minded, fraudulent dichotomy
conjured up by the West during the Cold War with such a lamentable
counter-simplification of your own?
Furthermore, yet another e-mail from you about upheaval in Yugoslavia
without any reference whatsoever to the people there. Not even
lip-service. Lots, however, about the 'collaborationist' people on this
list.
You condemn Chomsky for being all theory and no action; and yet you
yourself come across as a theoretician, and nothing else. I don't mean
that unkindly; it's just that you make a real point of contrasting
yourself with Chomsky by stressing your activist work and what you
perceive as the need to organize, to gather people together "around the
total program". Do you find that your heartfelt contempt (for those who
don't embrace your theory) ever undermines the reach and effectiveness
your activism?
Without rancour,
Adrian
