For those who are not aware, O'reilly and Associates, a publisher of
technology-related books, will provide for blind persons an ASCII version
of nearly any of the books they publish. The company is best known for
publishing the popular nutshell series, such as "Outlook 2000 In A
Nutshell" and Word 2000 In A Nutshell.." If the book is currently
available from Recording for the blind, the company asks persons to obtain
it from RFB. Blind end users must agree to several conditions regarding
the use of the book and send in a doctor's letter documenting disability,
such as the ones that libraries for the blind, RFB, the phone company, and
other blindness services require. A complete list of books can be found
at the O'reilly web site at:

http://www.oreilly.com

The requested book will be made available to the blind end user at an FTP
site for download.

If after checking out the web site you find that you want to access some
books for your work, school, or independence, contact Lenny Muellner at
O'reilly at 800-775-7731.

I just obtained the Word and Outlook books mentioned above. I unzipped
the book file and am starting to use them as a learning tool to access
Windows and its applications.
