I tested it a few weeks ago.  It does not conflict with the most common
screen readers, but the hard part is finding and scanning bar codes.  If you
are successful in doing so, you are taken to an appropriate web page.  If
you scan a code which is unknown to the :cuecat, you are asked to complete a
form about the code.
