The archive downloadable as
http://www.empowermentzone.com/off2kdoc.zip
contains plain text versions of the help files included with
Microsoft Office 2000 Premium Edition, which can be read with
almost any document viewing software. I converted all the files
in Windows help (.hlp), Write (.wri), Hypertext Markup Language
(.htm), and rich text format (.rtf). Many of the files in
compiled HTML (.chm) were also converted, which involved
combining hundreds of extracted .htm files into single text files
named with a chm_ prefix. Applications covered include Microsoft
Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Chart, Front Page, Outlook, and
Project. Outlook Express and Internet Explorer are also
included. Whenever possible, I placed a table of contents at the
beginning of a file, each topic then being separated by a line of
10 dashes and a form feed.
Regards,
Jamal
