Part 1: About VICUG NYC's March 2000 Meeting
VICUG NYC's next General Membership Meeting will be held in the Auditorium
of Selis Manor on Tuesday, March Fourteenth, from 6 to 7:30 pm.
The March Fourteenth meeting will feature a presentation
on screen magnification, the accessibility features of Windows, ZoomText
and LP Windows, by Madelyn Guilbeault of Baruch. We are currently
attempting to arrange to have a computer and large monitor available, so
that members can get some hands on experience with the technologies
Madelyn will be demonstrating. Anyone who can help arrange such a
set-up, or who would like to volunteer someone else to do so, should
contact Jay Leventhal: <[log in to unmask]>
Any remaining time at the March Fourteenth meeting will be devoted to
an "Open Floor", where you are welcome to ask -- and, answer -- any
questions about computers, with a special focus on screen magnification.
It is hoped that there will be enough interested parties in attendence to
initiate a new Low Vision Special Interest Group, so tell your friends and
colleagues to join us.
Membership dues for Y2K will be collected by VICUG NYC's Treasurer, Vita
Zavoli, at the March Fourteenth meeting. Dues are a mere twelve dollars,
and endow you with the right to hold office and the right to vote. If you
plan on paying in cash, please bring exact change! Thanks to all who paid
at the December, January and February meetings.
