I use Drive Space and have never noticed a difference in speed. The
other advantage to using Drive Space is in doing backups. I create a
Volume that is a 640 MByte container file ( drvspace.000 ). I have 2
ultraDMA hard disk drives and when I do a backup I just have to copy
this container file ( drvspace.000 ) from 1 physical hard drive to a
backup folder on the other physical hard drive and it takes less than 4
minutes. This is 4 minutes to backup well over 1 Gigabyte. I can then
copy this backup file to a CD-R disk and I have an exact image of what
was on logical drive C:. I just wish there was a way to mount the file
from a CD :-( You have to copy it from the CD to the physical hard
drive to be able to mount it and look around.
