Sounds like you did not get the SDRAM DIMM seated properly. First it
takes a pretty good force (equally on both ends) to seat them,
especially the first time for the slot. Remove the DIMM and re-install.
Make sure you are inserting it correctly, i.e. there is a notch on the
bottom of the DIMM which is off center and a nub in the slot. As I said
push down from both ends until it "snaps" somewhat and bottoms out and
the side clips on the slot seat into the sides of the DIMM. Be careful
not to force sideways and have the DIMM rotate and break the guide
posts on the slot.

Also what quality DIMM did you buy? Especially early mobo were
sensitive to poor quality DIMMs. Also some early mobo e.g. Mtech R534,
were very sensitive to the brand of DIMM and chip manufacturer to the
point for Mtech mobo, I had to buy "approved by Mtec" with a sticker on
it saying so to make sure the DIMM was compatible with the mobo. If I
did they ran perfectly If I did not, 9 out of 10 sticks would not run.

I don't remember. I know you said you lost the documentation for the
mobo but do you know what kind it is? Brand name, model, chip set on
board, etc.?

Hopefully, the re-seating will do the trick. Otherwise, I hope you can
get you money back.

Hi Daniel

I bought 64KB SDRAM DIMM.  I changed the jumpers so
the voltage is set to 3.3v and removed the SIMMs.
When I turn the computer on, it repeatedly makes long
beep sounds and I get nothing at all on the monitor.
I don't know to do.  I'd appreciate any advice.
