It's certainly an excellent place to start. Can you tell us more
about this drive (maker, model, size)? Any drivers loading in
CONFIG.SYS? ANy remapping software such as EZDisk?

David,
The hard drive is a Western Digital Caviar, 1 gig capacity. It doesn't have
any remapping software, and there isn't anything unusual in the CONFIG.SYS.
file. It was booting up fine before I switched over to FAT 32. Can anybody
explain what it means when it says that its 'RUNNING IN DOS COMPATABILITY
MODE?' Thanks in advance.
