I bought a new computer (hp 6623) when i bought it it started out fine. But then it started locking up and having invalid page faults (kernall32.dll). After talking to the support center they ran me through some stuff to free up resources and that has stopped it some what. They also suggested that there was a corrupt os installed so after it happened a few more time a couple of days later i formatted the hd and reinstalled windows with the recovery disk included with it. That had no affect though still had the same problems running varrious programs. Now it is also starting to freeze when shutting down the computer. I tried to install windows98 from a disk from a friends computer to see if it was a corrupt os sent with it. i was unable to use it do to it didn't have all the drivers required sound cards, modems, and multimedia keyboard use to control volume. I am tired of having to work on something that is not even a month old. Any help would be welcomed. It is a 500 mhz amd with 64 mb sdram running (or tring to run) win98.
Thank you
