Niel,
If you have a Hewlett Packard printer AND you are using Windows (you didn't
say what OS you have), there is a diagnositc program built into the
printer's packaged software.
IF you are using windows, then:
Go to START -- SETTINGS -- PRINTERS
Now point to your HP icon and RIGHT click.
Select PROPERTIES and then click the SERVICES TAB.
Finally, click the button for TEST PRINTER COMMUNICATIONS.
