I think that we're conditioned over time to be overachievers.
I have this same problem. I'm working on a grant project here at the
computer
and spend several hours working with the neck collar on to take the edge
off
the pain and then alternate ice and heat down my spine to alleviate the
spasms.
This is "normal" working conditions for me. Last Friday, I actually went
in to the
office to turn in a project; my hands were shaking badly and they could
tell I'd
been up all night. Sent me home saying I was abusing my body and to get
some
rest. If only I was a horse.... green pastures, carrots and sugar
cubes....
Maybe in my next life! JMW
