Hello Listers,
I've successfully done a format & re-install of WIN 95 on an
NEC Ready 9620. My only problem, is that the OS shows 2 "unknown
devices" and the sound is not working.
This motherboard has on-board sound and video, and an extra
printer port card put in by the owner. I'm fairly certain 1 of
the 2 "unknown devices" is the other printer port because only 1
shows up in the Device Manager.
My questions are: How do I get the OS to recognize the
parallel port card installed? Also, how do I find out what the
other "unknown device" is? And last, could these be using the
resources that the sound card needs and that's why it's not
working?
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
