Subject: Re: AGP from PCI

I had the same problem last week. Apparently, many AGP cards are picky
about
being in their slots right. Take both cards out and insert the Viper
back in
securely, and tighten it tightly with the screw. If it still makes those

beeps, take it out and try again. The card really has to be in perfectly
to
work. Also, let me know how the Viper treats you, as I am interested in
getting one as well. Good luck.

Thanks to all that replied. The problem seemed to be that the card wasnt
seated right. After a few wiggles all was well & as you would expect
with a jump from 4mb to 32mb the difference was huge with respect to
games. Normal applications didnt change except the startup screens
werent there for very long. I also used BCM diagnostics stress test
before & after & it took 30 secs off the test but I found if you are
comparing between tests, the memory size must be the same. Thanks again
to all the responses. Ian
