I resently put together a computer a 486DX2 66mhz with 64 mb ram and 1.2 g hard drive when i installed windows 98 with the cdrom it worked just fine. Load alright and copied the files. But as it was restarting and loading the drivers it stoped after a few and asked for the win98 cdrom. And stopped reading the drive. i reformated the hard drive and did it again but still same problem. what i found out after i let it finish i found out that the hard disk controllers where conflicting with each other and the computer was intermitingly freezing until you disabled one of the hard disk controllers. As i was looking at it i realized that it had two standard hard disk controllers instead of what most systems have of one primary and one secondary controller. How do i fix the problem and be able to use the cd rom? Other than the fact of no cd-rom the rest of the system works. All help would be welcomed.
