Ok, have to respond to this. I have extensive, and sometimes severe
food allergies. They are mediated by IgE, same as the "2%" of hte
population that the medical establishment talks about. But I have to
say, my reactions are totally differnet than the standard ones. When
I ingest one of the foods I am allergic to, I will have both physical
and mental reactions. The physical reactions include palpitations
(rapid heart beat), vomiting, and a rapid RISE (not drop) in blood
pressure. I wanted to point this out so that people know that unusual
reactions to food may still be allergic reactions, even if they are not
one of the standard ones (hives, shortness of breath, ashma, drop in
blood pressure).
