I'll leave that to the Paleo experts here... but will mention that in
looking at a glycemic index recently (how fast and much your blood
sugar goes up with various food... lower is better...)... white rice
was the worst, followed by brown rice, followed by wild rice (the
best)... the longer the grain the lower the glycemic index.  Basically
the more wild and the least processed the better. And I LOVE wild rice
too!
