Last week I had asked the list about information on traveling in New
Hampshire, Boston and Connecticut. Below are the responses. Thank you
to everyone. It was very helpful and I can't wait to try some of the
places out on my trip.

BOSTON

1) The Noble House in Cambridge outside of Boston can prepare great GF
food; call ahead.

2) In Boston you can go to Bread and Circus grocery stores found all
over especially near Symphony Hall and I enjoy the restaurant Legal
Seafoods near MIT in Cambridge. Enjoy your time!

3) I was in Boston recently and bought bread at the Breadsmith in
Newton. Call them to find out when they bake it fresh. If that's not
convenient, ask if they have any frozen. The baker told me that they
often have some frozen. Ask their hours too, last time I went there it
closed early. The fresh g-f bread was very good.

4) In your planning, be aware that one of the major attractions of
these breads (Breadsmith in Newton) is their freshness. On Tuesday,
right after they've been baked, they are absolutely fabulous. On
Wednesday they are excellent. On Thursday they are very good. By Friday
they really have to be toasted to enjoy, like all other GF breads.
Refrigerating or freezing preserves them, but takes away that fabulous
fresh/no toasting taste. The Breadsmith also makes GF muffins which, if
anything, are even better
than the bread.

All of the above my subjective opinion, of course.
TOM

Next baking (for Breadsmith in Newton) is next Tuesday. Count every two
weeks from that. Their number is 617-964-0530.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

1) Hello, Portsmouth, NH has many good eating establishments. Thai
Paradise is very accomadating. Also there is a small restaurant on
Market St called Bella Luna, nice dining experience and they will take
excellent care of you. For more casual dining try Yoken's, there chefs
have been trained, and are knowledgeable about Celiacs. i have had
good luck at all of these places. Hope you enjoy NH!!!

CONNECTICUT

1) The Gluten-free Pantry is located near Hartford, CT - you can
get their phone number on the GF Shopping Mall... =)

2) Hello! My husband is celiac and we had our wedding reception at Jonathan
Pasco's Restaurant in East Windsor, CT. They are located at 31 South Main
St. (on the main road, Route 5) and their number is (860)627-7709. We had a
dinner appointment before we booked them, and they made a dinner that he
could eat. Its a very nice place. We had gone there almost five years ago,
so I'm not sure if they would still prepare the special meal, but its worth
a shot. Have a great trip.
