Is it a SCSI or IDE unit? Have you load the SCSI driver correctly if it's a
SCSI? Have you installed DVD player software? Please provide more details.

Why load DOS drivers if you use win98? you should use win98 driver.

DVD-ROM will act like a CD-ROM if there is no DVD application to use it.

With your system, You shouldn't worry about DOS any more, just forget it.
