  Hi list,

Suzan Hays' message reminded me of a smudge problem we
were having, but the smudge was vertical, at Epson Stylus
Colour. The problem was that the rubber wheel that's supposed
to roll on the paper did not roll, but stuck and smudged
anything printed... yuck :)
We had the rubber roller replaced by thin metal disc, no
smearing ever since...

Regarding the horizontal smudge, this is what occured
if we tried to print on very thick carton [normal carton is
no problem for Epson], then I'd suggest putting the head
farther from the paper, but I don't have the least idea
of how to do this...

Hope this was helpful to somebody
