Okay, a few days late.  This happened to me also and it was a graphics
card I put on an older Dell machine.  Did it been when you booted up
and booted down?  Something like this:  beeeeep, beep-beep-beep?  I
took out the card because the Dell has an on board card and that seemed
to work.  Guess I wouldn't be putting a good card on that old Dell.
