Mick,
 I have a old Marantz casette deck  and a new Fostex multitrack hooked
to mine.Any tape deck with a Aux. or output should work.I used RCA
cables
and a "Y" with a 1/8" jack to plug into my sound card.This lets you take
advantage of alot of audio software that is now available.
