Actually, I don't think there is a universal agreement on this. There are
some studies that show correlation, but even then, if memory serves
right, it's not a big risk factor. Some dispute even that. Now, as to why
eat it even if it's only suspected (rather than proven) of being somewhat
less good for you than monounsaturated fats? Convenience, taste, its
presence in foods we choose to eat (e.g. meat), variety (important on
this diet, especially if you are price conscious).

Are you talking about coconut oil or coconut milk/cream? Most of the time
people on this list refer to latter, not former. You acquire it in can
or, as some suggested, by using a juicer and juicing coconut pulp.
