In other words, you were not consuming the best diet you could
nutritionally.

You are not supposed to "just know". We are bombarded and confused by
all the hooey surrounding food these days. Just consider all the
sophisticated advertising and conflicting nutritional information. A low
fat diet is not enough, there are plenty of other important factors, like
raw veggies, fruits, caveman food (as you later mentioned). Plus, very
low fat is probably not the answer, certainly not below ~10%-7%. I also
believe that super high fat is probably not the best diet, at least for
everyone.

>Your statement "a" makes no sense to me. "b" makes no sense to me

Good for you. I hope you are healthier as well. I have no doubt that a
person can eat more calories if they choose on a diet which is wholesome.
BTW - how do you know your caloric intake, did you keep accurate notes?
If not, I suggest that you may be consuming less calories than before,
and just feeling more satisfied now. This could be due to the body
getting proper nutrition, and not needing any more.

BTW - I also concede that people on a low carbohydrate diet may be able
to consume more calories, and the threshold before they start gaining
alot of weight may be much higher than on a "normal" diet. I don't
believe this says much about the appropriateness of a low carb diet, it
is just interesting.

>Fat or thin there is no way I would just accept a or b.

Well, I'm sorry. I will reiterate my belief that both the type and
quantity of food contributes to a good diet, and subsequent health.
