Hi Cathy,
While I have not pursued this myself, I know of others that have had success
with the NAET treatments provided by chiropractors and some naturopaths and
alternative medicine specialists. You can see information at
http://www.naet.com I would love to do this for my son, but the treatments
can be expensive and dairy avoidance is about all our budget can tolerate
right now.
I have also heard of a process where you can find a "just right" inoculation
dosage of the allergen. Doris Rapp discusses it in her book _Is This Your
Child_?. I forget what it is called but it is often frowned upon by the
traditional/mainstream allergy doctors, but some will swear by it. It
depends on the doctor. The idea is to administer a trace amount at a
specific level, much like homeopathic remedies do. Perhaps someone else on
the list knows the name of this treatment. My book is currently out on loan
to a friend. Btw, if you don't have this book yet, I highly recommend it.
You can probably pick up a used/like new copy at half.com for less than $10.
Best of luck,
Gail Fritz
