I don't think it was that long.  I know I ended up going back to the
Bat Mitzvah party where I'd ingested the offending item with instructions
only to "take it easy" due to the epi effect on the heart, and of course
to follow up with benadryl.  But my attack was not that severe in the
first place because I happened to have taken an antihistimine for another
reason shortly before ingesting the item in the first place.
