Barbara,
Just remember, not all of us are from a city. Some of us are from
waaaaaaaaaayyy out there. We do have a synagogue in my county. It has
14 people that attend on a somewhat regular basis and seats 30 for the
holidays. Trust me, for any selection some of us will have to travel a
bit.
BTW, in your list of places to seek out you should also add kosher
bakeries. I have found a pretty good pareve bakery in a town only an
hour from me. My kids were so excited to be able to go into a bakery
for the first time and actually buy a cookie! Cool stuff for an
allergic kid!
