Just an aside here on the natural diet of chickens. My best buddy has a
farm in Vermont and she said she was watching her (very) free range
chickens one day. One of them was poking in the grass and surprised a field
mouse. She said the chicken pounced it and ate in in one big gulp!
So there you have it- chickens can be serious canivores, too!
(OK- omnivores to be accurate)
