Trish,
I am so sorry you have had this change and I am a little concerned about
your post.
My womanly reaction to paleo has been one of the best side effects. I had
very heavy periods as a teenager, and went on the pill. Though cramps are
considered normal by many, mine were so bad that I entered the Motrin trials
back when it was prescription...I was 14 or 15 then. It was the only thing
that ever helped with cramps at 1600 mg a day for 1 week prior. No wonder I
have a wrecked gut.
But in the last three months, and particularly this month, I was absolutely
astounded that I no longer get cramps. My periods are normal, a little
heavier than the years on the pill but nothing like when I was a teen--lasts
3 days.
And noone told me paleo would do that, but what else could it be? I just
wanted to wait another month to be sure before announcing my find to the
list.
I hope that it does ease up for you soon.. I am not sure, but I think dairy
may be the biggest offender. I'm assuming you did the pap etc., or maybe
you want to find a doc to send something to Great Smokies? I would tend to
be concerned, but not at all about the paleo part of it.
In paleo health,
Judith
