I got a frenzied message after the brown rice syrup summary about Imagine's
pudding snacks. Apparently there had been assurances by the Imagine rep
that they were GF. This created some confusion, obviously. Then, after
re-reading, and re-reading, then shuffling all the faxes, I found a third
page from the Imagine fax. On that page was the explanation that thier
pudding snacks now use a new rice syrup that was re-formulated in March of
1996. It is now based upon a non-gluten source!

So, correction is, the pudding snacks ARE now gluten free.

The last page also stated that the new rice syrup does not work for the
rice dream beverage, however. It is also used in the frozen desserts.
And, in the frozen desserts, the carob, chocolate, and vanilla use alcohol
based flavoring extracts from a corn source, so those are also ok.

So, Gluten free from Imagine:

The three frozen desserts: carob, chocolate and vanilla
The pudding snacks
The soy dream beverages
Thier new soups (sold in the dream-like cartons) BTW, the soups are also
very good. I have used a number of them, mostly as bases and sauces for
other entrees.
