Any friends and/or family lost because you have to bring your own food and
ask waiters a few questions are obviously idiots and are well out of your
life.  When I was diagnosed 10 years ago I felt sorry for myself for a few
days until my daughter said "Mother, any diet that allows you coffee,
alchohol and sweets can't be all bad!"  I haven't had a bad moment since.
