Many folks with sore, dry, red eyes have been given default diagnoses of "Sjogren's Syndrome" by
sympathetic, well-meaning physicians who truly want to help them. At this time, a
"real" diagnosis of Sjogren's depends on results from a somewhat painful
biopsy of the salivary glands. Sjogren's Syndrome is thought to be an incurable
autoimmue disorder. Lubricant eye drops are recommended.

Along with a more natural diet and lifestyle, an alternative treatment approach
is found in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In that complimentary medical model,
sore, red eyes are common components of a number of frequently-occurring
fancifully-termed disorders (e.g., "Pathogenic Wind," & "Liver Fire Ascending,"
among others) that are easily treated and readily respons
ive to acupuncture. A
few treatments by a knowledgeable practitioner will do the trick. I speak here
with the voice of experience, and wish the same help to all of you who need it.

Thanks to you all, and blessings, for your sharing on this list!
