Ken,

I must say we were not as harsh on my daughter re: work. We let her
do everything your daughter did except the boyfriend. She didn't seem to be
able to get one. One day she came to workwith me on campus and saw all
these nice looking boys whom she did meet in her "job" as a part time baby
sitter. She had not even taken a college prep curriculum in high school.
She asked me if I thought she might go to college. I set her up with some
friends in admissions
and she was admitted, found a eligible professor, no less, and now is what
she always aspired to, a mommy and wife. They live in Austin TX now and he
teaches criminology at St Edwards U.
