In response to the question about whether voice input systems will run with
screen readers, I won't pretend to be an expert, but to my knowledge the
only effort to make them work has been to get JFW working with Dragon
products. There are two beta versions of scripts for this purpose now on
the Henter-Joyce web site: http://www.hj.com which seem to indicate that
this is still the case. My guess is that there is no intrinsic reason that
any of these products should not be able to be made to work with screen
readers (or vice versa) but probably a lot of time and effort is involved
which is hard to do if the demand doesn't seem to be great so, if you see
the demand, contact the screen reader manufacturers, maybe if you call them
each time you see an unmet need, they will start working more seriously on
this.
