Greeting,
I'm in the middle of my first real hardware problem and don't have a clue
where to go from here. I have a PIII 450 192MB RAM on an Abit BX6-2.
Suddenly today it started acting screwy. I got a couple of blue screens
with vxd errors. I shut down it down and it wouldn't reboot. It posts and
gets to "verifying dmi pool - update success" and then just stops. I assume
at this point it is supposed to look for a boot drive.. It won't boot from
a floppy, it won't boot form the hard drive if I change the order. I have
changed the memory, the processor, and cleared the CMOS. I don't have a
clue on what to do next. Start taking things out? It acts like it doesn't
know what to do next. Could I have corrupted my bios somehow?
Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
