This question may have been asked before but as usual it seems to keep coming up and I can't seem to get an answer that is quite satisfactory.

I have some machines that just keep crashing and coming up with vxd faults showing. This happens even with a clean reinstall of 95 or 98 after repartitioning and format.

The question is: Is this a hardware or software fault. I believe it's a hardware fault but keep getting arguments that it's a software fault.

Can someone put a bit of light on this question?

Thanks,

Michael J. Murray
