I have seen Windows Protection Errors for ten or twelve different reasons.
Some of them have only been fixed with a re-install.
One thing that has caused a few that I have seen is the processor
overheating. Check the heatsink/fan to see if they are fully against the
processor.
It could also be a bad M/B or a bad registry entry in Win 95.
Has Win 95 been reinstalled?
If so was it a clean install?
I am running Win 95 on a PII-450 with no problems so it is not a timing
issue. Unless others have heard different....
