Tried installing an ISA sound card in a pentium 60PB computer. Removed
the old sound/modem board combo and placed a 16 bit ISA sound board in its
place.
The machine would not boot with this new sound card(which I tested in
another computer just fine). Is there something that I forgot to do?
It never gets to the ram test upon booting.(no beeps but some data about
the bios is displayed, then freezes.) If I remove the sound card
all is well. This system has a seperate modem card which I installed
awhile back without any problems.
The sound card did fit properly in the slot. Looks like the sound card is
loading down the bus.
