Is anyone familiar with any research papers that
attempt to refute the paleo theories? I'm sure there
must be some. The only anti-Paleo argument I've heard
was some NYU nutrition prof who said, "We really don't
know what people ate that long ago" - which seems like
a pretty lame statement to me.
I'm asking this question for two reasons. First, for
my own peace of mind. Although I believe Paleo makes
more sense than anything I've confronted before, I'd
hate to think I'm accepting it "blindly". Second, and
this reason may be of interest to others on this list,
is to be able to defend Paleo when confronted by
"helpful" friends and relatives. It never hurts to
know what the "competition" is up to.
