Additives in Herbs: There was some discussion a bit back about how
pure various herb mixtures are. I did some more careful than usual label
reading on the bulk bins during my last few trips to the store, and found
a number of items that I would have thought pure, but turned out to have
grain products or other stuff in them that I wouldn't have expected.
"Rubbed Sage", for instance, had modified soy protein, along with a list
of about four other things. An herbal salt substitute had citric acid
(usual comes from corn).

Dryer Find: Lehman's catalog has a great looking wood frame food dryer
described as suitable for either sun or oven drying -- oak frames with
dovetailed joints.
