I think if You look closer to this theory, You will find it does not work.
It is more probably an later, partial adaptation to a low iron diet,
together with the fact that we recently get more iron in our food again.

If research shows this, it can be an important part of a healthy diet,
but not without direct connection to paleo WOE, unless one can find out
that fasting (not eating when there in fact is food around) really
occurred in paleo times.
