I breastfed my son for a year, but I didn't know
he was milk allergic until I stopped nursing and
starting giving him milk and he reacted right
away. I was eating and drinking dairy products of
course while I was nursing him because I had no
idea. So in answer to your question - no it's not
true. I would say that if allergies run in your
family, try to avoid food allergens yourself
while you are breastfeeding your kids.
