I know exactly how you feel!  No doctors seem to take it seriously until
they see "proof".  When the dr. gave me the results this time, she stressed
a strict non-dairy diet as if she'd never heard my concerns, or that I'd
already been doing this on my own for the last 4 years.

The drs. assured me being off milk would not affect the tests and couldn't
answer why the tests never came back positive before.  (The only difference
this time was that he'd had 1 ounce of milk the day of the blood test and
that he was older). I read once that some young children don't have the
antibody they test for yet - but I don't understand much of this.  For now,
trust yourself regardless of the test results.  You know the difference - I
have labeled my son's allergy as just that for the last 4 years.  Most
people respect that and no one has yet asked to see written proof.
(Although now that I have it I do feel a slight urge to show everyone who
might have doubted me!)

Someone else mentioned an Eliza allergy test.  Anyone know anything about
this?
