Desire to add, if possible, USB board connectors to an existing mother bd
for use in faster downloading of Digital Camera images to Computer.  Mother
BD is out-of-production INTEL Performance/VS Pentium Pro (200) ATX
Baseboard,
440FX chipset, Intel Bd ID AA655391-404.
BIOS AMIBIOS Ver 1.00.18.CS1 Last update before INTEL abandon further
support,--BIOS dated August 1998. BIOS was flash upgradeable, but no further
updgrades are known to be available.
Back edge of motherbd where other connectors are located has a silkscreened
land for two USB connectors with copper trace leads from the solder lands
back into the bd proper.  I  have a detailed spec. pamphlet for the bd.
wherein there is a drawing of Back Panel Connectors which includes depiction
of two USB strips one abv the other, each with four little "generic style"
square terminal "boxes" along with the other regular connectors for the
system.  However there are no such USB connectors installed.
  In specifications description of the 82371SB PCI ISA/IDE Accelerator
(PIIX3), it states --The PIIX3 also has built in Universal Serial Bus (USB)
controller for two ports.  This only info concerning USB.
  When previously checking on possibilities, out of curiosity, I found INTEL
and then existing Forum no help, and I did find some comments that early
implementations of USB had unresolved problems.  My bd is '96 vintage.
  Now have more compelling reason to use USB if at all possible.  I note in
Jameco catalog of Spring of '99 new items for a PCI USB I/O Card, PNP for
USB-aware operatig systems, and a USB 4-pin female series A panel mount unit
with two connectors shown mounted in a metal strip of same shape as the
connector strips on back edge of various add-in bds.
  Would appreciate any info or comments from anyone knowledgeable in this
