Dear list members,
A customer recently brought me a computer that wouldn't boot. He
had replaced the motherboard, and was not able to get it to work
since.
This is the message I get on booting up the machine...
"Starting Dynamic Drive Overlay...
Press spacebar to boot from diskette...
ERROR: Incompatible BIOS Translation Detected.
Refer to your Ontrack documentation for more information.
Insert boot diskette, in drive A:, press any key when ready...
Booting from diskette
Starting Windows 95
The compression driver cannot be set up correctly. Get a version
from your vendor that is compatible with this version of Windows"
My question is, can I fdisk and format this disk to remove the
drive overlay? If not, how can I get rid of it?
