The problem with transferring under DOS is that LFNs do not get transferred.
I have seen a program that some how did include the LFN but don't remember
what it is. So make sure the program does transfer the LFN under DOS or you
will only have problems.

The same reasoning applies why you can not use backup programs under DOS and
expect to be able to restore without loading Win9x.
