The page about lectins to wich there was an url on this list some time
ago, mentiones tomatoes together with potatoes, weat and beans as
containing those "violent" forms of lectins that we try to avoid.
After readinf that I have totally quit all nightshades. I was very
suspicious before, but ate some tomatoes and more bell peppers.
