Human milk is produced by action of a drug that is produced by the
sucking of the baby on the breast. It takes 3 to 4 days for milk
production to begin from this stimulus.

A new mother (who just given birth) produces a substitute for a few
days until the milk production kicks in. A substitute mother would
have to try breastfeeding the baby before it is fed from a bottle for
a few days until the milk automatically came in from the stimulus.
