Hello list mates,
I received this list on Feb. 15. My husband called yesterday to ask a few
more questions before I sent the info. to you.
Sharida Sendele (Technical Support Services) sent me the product list. If you
have any questions about this information please call Sharida at 541-889-0593.
Grant Jones put her in touch with me.
Sharida's note thanks me for the inquiry on the GF status of Ore-Ida products.
It states that the following products are made with the absence of wheat, rye,
oats and barley. Sharida then says that "Ore-Ida manufactures a variety of
items and the facilities do contain products with gluten. While efforts are
made to avoid cross contamination we cannot guarantee that our products would
be completely free of very small amounts of gluten due to cross
contamination."
My husband (Scott) called Sharida 2/17 to discuss the production environment.
She told Scott that there is line cleanup after each product is run. They do
not use rework. Segregation of products is attempted. Sharida cannot give an
absolute guarantee that cross contamination will never occur because their
facilities contain products with and without gluten. Scott found Sharida to
be extremely helpful and responsive to his questions.
Sharida also mentioned that their sister company is Bi-Aglut (I did not know
this) and that these products can be ordered through Dietary Specialists. She
attached info. on this.
The products that are absent of gluten (Ore-Ida says it this way because these
products were not originally intended to be gluten free, they just happen to
be GF) are:

center cut sweet potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, petite center cut sweet
potatoes, prime center cut sweet potatoes, ripple cut sweet potatoes

I hope this is helpful to you. Once again, we all need to make our own
decision about using these products. If you have further questions please
call Sharida Sendele.
Thanks again for weathering this out with me.
