Since we seem to be fairly focused on protein this week. I have a
question for the list. My brother and I (both celiac) are in mortal
combat about the type of protein we should be eating. He maintains that
red meat is essential for CD as it is slower to digest and has the bulk ,
while I tend to the 'bird food' as he coins it.....cottage cheese, tofu,
lighter versions of protein. (we're both very slim, so the fat is not an
issue)
One cup of cottage cheese has 30 gms of protein as does a 6 ounce steak.
Does anybody have any thoughts on this?
